Welcome to the Programme in Health and Welfare Management studies
PLEASE NOTE that the MA Health & Welfare Management programme will have a final intake in 2015. No further intakes will take place for the current programme.
This programme is located on the North Campus of the Nelson Mandela University (NMU) and is part of the School of Clinical Care Sciences within the Faculty of Health Sciences.

The Health and Welfare Management division aims to be a leader in the preparation of health and welfare professionals as managers within the context of their professional disciplines in order to ensure that the citizens of South and Southern Africa benefit from high quality services.
Our mission
The mission of the Health and Welfare Management division is to train and equip students with the knowledge, skills and competencies needed to ensure the establishment and provision of high quality services by:

Applying the principles of strategic, financial and human resources management effectively

Applying critical, analytical and creative thinking to the management of health and welfare services

Utilising information as the basis for pro-active management

Developing and implementing high quality programmes within the health and welfare sectors of public and private enterprises
When do I qualify to apply?
Admission requirements:

Entry into the programme requires and Honours degree or its equivalent e.g. 4 year degree
